Abstract

An ectopic mandibular third molar is a rare condition. Removal of third molars is among the most frequent surgical procedures performed by maxillofacial surgeons. Few cases of ectopic third molars in the subcondylar and ramus regions of the mandible have been reported. Most have been treated using an extraoral or endoscopic approach. The management of this condition using an intraoral approach for removal of ectopic, impacted third molar situated bilaterally in subcondylar and ramus area is presented.
