Zusammenfassung

Die distale Radiusfraktur ist weiterhin die häufigste Fraktur des Menschen. Neben den überwiegend älteren, weiblichen Patienten tritt diese auch seltener durch Mittel- oder Hochrasanztraumata bei männlichen, jungen Erwachsenen auf. Meist sind zur Diagnostik die klinische Untersuchung und Röntgenaufnahme, ggf. Computertomographie ausreichend. Die Indikation zur konservativen Therapie ist weiterhin gegeben, operativ haben sich jedoch mittlerweile in vielen Fällen die offene Reposition und Osteosynthese mit einer palmaren winkelstabilen Platte durchgesetzt. Neben der eigentlichen Versorgung der Fraktur sind Begleitverletzungen und Komplikationen frühzeitig zu diagnostizieren und ggf. zu therapieren.
