Die transitorische ischämische Attacke (TIA) birgt fehldiagnostiziert und unbehandelt ein potenziell hohes Risiko für einen rasch nachfolgenden ischämischen Schlaganfall. Eine zeitnahe und strukturierte Abklärung hingegen kann das Risiko im Hinblick auf Mortalität und Morbidität dieser Patienten senken. Dies wird überwiegend durch eine effektive medikamentöse Sekundärprophylaxe und die Detektion individueller zerebrovaskulärer Risikokonstellationen erreicht. …
