Zusammenfassung

Sehr früh geborene Kinder leiden mit sehr hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit unter Behinderungen und haben nur geringe Überlebenschancen. Der Umgang mit ihnen muss deshalb zwischen Eltern und Ärzten einvernehmlich und gemäß rechtlichen und ethischen Vorgaben geregelt werden. Bei drohender Frühgeburt werden Lungenreifeinduktion, Antibiotikatherapie und Tokolyse standardmäßig eingesetzt. Es gibt dabei jedoch einige rechtlich relevante Faktoren (z.B. Off-Label-Use, Aufklärungspflicht), die berücksichtigt werden sollten.
