Fetale Alkoholspektrumstörungen bei Erwachsenen

Zusammenfassung

Die fetale Alkoholspektrumstörung ist ein häufiger Grund für eine im Mutterleib erworbene und damit angeborene Behinderung, die durch Alkoholkonsum der Mutter während der Schwangerschaft hervorgerufen wird. Körperliche und geistige Folgen persistieren bis ins Erwachsenenalter. Die Diagnose kann mit dem 4‑Digit Diagnostic Code gestellt werden, der eine Kombination der Kriterien (1) Wachstumsstörung, (2) Gesichtsdysmorphien, (3) ZNS-Schädigung und (4) pränataler Alkoholexposition darstellt. Dabei können neben dem Vollbild eines fetalen Alkoholsyndroms (FAS) auch noch ein partielles fetales Alkoholsyndrom (pFAS), eine „alcohol related neurodevelopmental disorder“ (ARND) und „alcohol related birth defects“ (ARBD) abgebildet werden. Auch wenn das Störungsbild nicht heilbar ist, können durch supportive, therapeutische Maßnahmen die Lebensqualität und Selbständigkeit erhöht und psychiatrische Komorbiditäten behandelt werden.
