Unzweifelhaft ist, dass Krebspatienten häufig erheblich unter einer tumorassoziierten Erschöpfung leiden - und auch, dass die Form der Belastung mit steigenden Überlebensraten eher zunehmen wird. Deutlich weniger klar ist dagegen, wie die Fatigue zu klassifizieren, zu diagnostizieren und schließlich zu behandeln ist. Dieser Überblick liefert eine kurze Zusammenfassung des Problems und Hinweise zum diagnostischen Vorgehen.
