Sport bei Typ-1-Diabetes - warum er wichtig ist und worauf zu achten ist

Eine möglichst normnahe Glukoseeinstellung mithilfe der obligaten Insulintherapie ist bei Typ-1-Diabetes (T1D) wichtig, um Diabetes-Folgekomplikationen zu verhindern. Sport trägt zur psychischen Stabilisierung und Gewichtskontrolle bei und verbessert Blutzucker, -fette und -druck [1]. Im zeitlichen Umfeld erhöhter körperlicher Aktivität ist bei der Insulin- und Kohlenhydratzufuhr aber erhöhte Aufmerksamkeit und oft spezielles Handeln gefragt, um nicht in eine Hypoglykämie zu rutschen.
