Zusammenfassung

In einem Gramm menschlichen Stuhl beträgt die Bakterienanzahl circa eine Million — die Zahl der Viren dagegen etwa eine Milliarde. Die Bedeutung dieser viralen Gemeinschaft ist bislang zwar noch unklar, fest steht jedoch, dass sie für das Ökosystem Mensch nicht ausschließlich negative Folgen hat.
