Die Digitalisierung schreitet auch in der Diabetologie voran. Das ist für die einen ein Segen, für andere problematisch, dazwischen gibt es alle Abstufungen. Digitale Gesundheitsanwendungen (DiGAs) sind Tools, die besonders in der Behandlung von Menschen mit Diabetes und/oder Adipositas Vorteile haben können. Dieser Beitrag liefert einen Überblick zu entsprechenden "Softwareschnipseln" als Medizinprodukte und legt dar, wie man sie verordnet.
