Zusammenfassung

ICD-Elektrodendefekte stellen auf Grund der stetig zunehmenden Implantationszahlen eine Herausforderung für nachsorgende Institutionen sowie explantierende Zentren dar. Für die Erkennung und für die Behandlung von elektrodenassoziierten Problemen bzw. Elektrodendefekten liegen keine klaren Empfehlungen vor. Der vorliegende Artikel gibt eine Übersicht über die Erkennung von Elektrodendefekten und zeigt die therapeutischen und technischen Möglichkeiten, die zur Behebung von ICD-Elektrodendefekten zur Verfügung stehen.
