Dichoptisches Training bei Amblyopie

Zusammenfassung

Das dichoptische Training ist ein neues Therapieverfahren bei Amblyopie. Es beruht auf einer Bildtrennung (daher „dichoptisch“), bei der das Führungsauge schwach penalisiert wird. Damit wird eine „Balance“ erreicht und das amblyope Auge weniger supprimiert. Im Gegensatz zu Abdecktherapien werden Bildinhalte auf die beiden Augen verteilt. Bei dieser Therapie werden spielerische Aufgaben gestellt, die nur mit Binokularsehen lösbar sind. Die damit erzielte Visusbesserung liegt im Mittel über 5 Studien hinweg bei nur 0,20 ± 0,07 logMAR und ist nicht signifikant besser als konkurrierende Verfahren. Die vorliegende Arbeit erläutert das dichoptische Training, gibt eine Übersicht über die Studienlage, weist auf offene Fragen hin und schließt mit einer persönlichen kritischen Einschätzung.

Eine Minderung von 0,1 logMAR entspricht einer Zeile Besserung auf einer DIN-Visustafel gleichbedeutend mit einem Faktor von 1,26 für dezimalen Visus. Eine Minderung um 0,3 logMAR entspricht einer Visusverbesserung um 3 Zeilen (= Verdopplung des dezimalen Visus).
