A Case of Relapsing-Remitting Intravascular Large B‑Cell Lymphoma with Transient Spontaneous Radiographic Regression

Intravascular large B‑cell lymphoma (IVLBCL) is a rare extranodal non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma characterized by growth of neoplastic cells in lumina of small vessels, with a propensity to manifest in the central nervous system. Clinical presentation is often a puzzling array of symptoms caused by small vessel occlusions, with or without constitutional symptoms. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings are diverse and can be negative in half of the cases [1]. We present here a biopsy proven IVLBCL case where a spontaneous radiographic regression was captured. We detailed its unique clinical and radiographic evolution. Given IVLBCL’s dynamic clinical course, recognition of such dynamic MRI patterns can facilitate earlier suspicion for this rare disease. …
