The dental surgeon performs several surgical procedures that tend to significantly affect the patient's quality of life in the postoperative period; surgery of the mandibular third molars is a standard procedure that substantially involves the quality of life of patients in the postoperative period, mainly on the third day after surgery, due to the intensity of pain felt and inflammatory events leading to edema and trismus caused by this type of surgical intervention (Benediktsdóttir et al. 2004; Costa et al. 2015). …
