Teenage Cancer Trust head of nursing and clinical services Sam Smith always had ambitions to be a children’s nurse. But a personal experience of cancer as a teenager sparked an interest in oncology. Now, her dedication to improving the lives of young adults with cancer has been recognised with a lifetime achievement award. She spoke to Clare Lomas
