Broadcasting a film of an operation could jeopardise patient trust, say Marc Cornock and Andrew Nichols

A video clip recently uploaded to a file-sharing website raises important ethical and legal questions for nurses. The movie appears to have been filmed in the operating theatre during an operation and shows the surgical removal of a foreign body from the rectum of a male patient.
