A 69-year-old Japanese man presented to our department with a 1-month history of dysphagia and swallowing pain. His past history included thoracic surgery twice for lung cancer and laparoscopy-assisted distal gastrectomy for stomach cancer. On physical examination, a solid and movable painless mass was palpated in the right submandibular region. Videoendoscopic (VE) and videofluoroscopic (VF) examinations of swallowing revealed a right and left hyoid elevation difference and laryngeal penetration during swallowing (Fig. 1 and Online Video 1).
