Scientific integrity is the cornerstone of academic publishing, ensuring research credibility, reproducibility, and ethical responsibility. Especially in medical research, where patient safety and evidence-based practice are paramount, it is essential to uphold the highest standards of journal integrity. Unfortunately, scientific misconduct remains a significant issue that pervades and undermines the scientific publication process. Such misconduct includes data fabrication, falsification and plagiarism, and failing to disclose conflicts of interest or inappropriate authorship practices [1, 2]. Furthermore, there have been cases in which editors or publishers abuse their power to influence authors or publications. Sadly, multiple cases of academic and publication misconduct have also involved members of the Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine community [2‐5]. …
