In breast MRI, morphological and dynamic enhancement features determine whether a lesion is benign or malignant but specificity is low. Diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DW-MRI) measures microscopic motion of water and gives quantitative measurement known as the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC).
