Einfluss frühkindlicher Stresserfahrungen und traumatisierender Lebensereignisse auf das Schmerzempfinden

Zusammenfassung

Das Schmerzempfinden des Erwachsenen wird in der frühen Kindheit durch Wechselwirkungen zwischen Psyche, Körper und der sozialen Umgebung substanziell geprägt. Frühkindliche Stresserfahrungen und traumatisierende Lebensereignisse führen zu neuroendokrinen und psychophysischen Stressreaktionen, die über multiple neurofunktionelle Vorgänge einen bleibenden Einfluss auf die biologischen und psychologischen Prozesse der Schmerzwahrnehmung und Schmerzverarbeitung ausüben. Im Rahmen dieser Übersichtsarbeit soll auf die komplexen Zusammenhänge zwischen traumatischen Stresserfahrungen und damit assoziierten psychobiologischen Mechanismen der Schmerzchronifizierung eingegangen werden. Anhand ausgewählter Studien werden psychophysiologische Veränderungen in dieser Subgruppe von Patienten vorgestellt und mögliche zugrunde liegende Mechanismen diskutiert. Der Artikel schließt mit einer Diskussion über mögliche Implikationen für die Behandlung.
