Zusammenfassung

Der Embolic Stroke of Undetermined Source (ESUS) stellt ein neues Konzept mit klaren Kriterien zur Diagnose und Diagnostik nach Schlaganfall unbekannter Genese dar, wie sie für den kryptogenen Schlaganfall bislang nicht vorhanden waren. Diese helfen, eine geeignete Sekundärprophylaxe zu definieren.
