Verabreicht wird Mycophenolatmofetil (Morpholinoethylester der Mycophenolsäure), das zur immunsuppressiv wirksamen Mycophenolsäure gespalten wird.
Funktion – Pathophysiologie
Die Immunsuppression wird erreicht durch die Hemmung der Inosinmonophosphat-Dehydrogenase mit verminderter Synthese von Guaninnukleotiden. Diese führt zu einer antiproliferativen Wirkung auf aktivierte Lymphozyten.
