7. Eosinophile Granulozyten

Zusammenfassung

Der Eosinophile ist morphologisch v. a. an seinen eosinaffinen Granula zu erkennen und macht im Gesunden ca. 1–5 % der Leukozytenfraktion aus. Die Zytotoxizität der granulären Proteine und die Fähigkeit zur Produktion von reaktiven Sauerstoffradikalen sind für die Effektorfunktion dieser Zellen hauptsächlich verantwortlich. Der Eosinophile ist weiterhin Quelle diverser Zytokine, welche zu seinen immunregulatorischen, metabolischen und profibrotischen Funktionen beitragen. Die Zahl der Eosinophilen kann sowohl im Blut als auch im Gewebe bei Erkrankungen mit unterschiedlicher Pathogenese erhöht sein. Je nach Ursache unterscheidet man intrinsische (primäre) und extrinsische (sekundäre) eosinophile Erkrankungen. Erstere werden durch genetische Veränderungen verursacht, letztere durch eine erhöhte Produktion von Eosinopoietinen. Diese pathogeneseorientierte Klassifikation eosinophiler Erkrankungen erlaubt eine möglichst zielgerichtete Therapie dieser Patienten.
