Zusammenfassung

Das pädiatrische Altersmaximum der chronisch-entzündlichen Darmerkrankungen (CED) liegt bei 12–14 Jahren. Etwa 60% der Patienten tragen die Diagnose Morbus Crohn (MC). Beim MC ist das männliche Geschlecht um den Faktor 1,4–1,6 häufiger betroffen. Bei der Colitis ulcerosa (CU), die bei etwa 30% der Erkrankten vorliegt, ist das Geschlechterverhältnis ausgeglichen. Die Colitis indeterminata (CI) wird in der Pädiatrie häufiger diagnostiziert als in der „Erwachsenenmedizin“, der relative Anteil ist umso größer, je jünger die Patienten sind. Die aktuellen CED-Inzidenzraten liegen zwischen 4 und 10 Neuerkrankungen/Jahr und 100.000 Menschen jünger als 18 Jahre, es scheint noch einen langsamen weiteren Anstieg zu geben. Die Anwendung der Montreal-Klassifikation trägt dazu bei, die Vergleichbarkeit der Studien zu erhöhen und das Verständnis der Erkrankungen zu vertiefen, um schließlich effektive Therapie- und vielleicht auch Präventionsstrategien zu entwickeln. CED-Erkrankungsregister stellen eine wichtige Datenquelle dar.
