Zusammenfassung

Entzündliche Erkrankungen von Uterus und Adnexen entstehen meist durch vaginale Keimaszension, seltener durch intraabdominale Prozesse, und werden als „pelvic inflammatory disease“ (PID) bezeichnet. Die Klinik der Zervizitis ist häufig nur sehr gering ausgeprägt, die der Endomyometritis meistens durch Blutungsstörungen mit oder ohne systemische Infektzeichen gekennzeichnet, und bei Entzündungen der Adnexe stehen Unterbauchschmerzen im Vordergrund. Puerperale Endometritiden und Ovarialvenenthrombophlebitiden können bei verzögerter Diagnose lebensbedrohlich werden. Entscheidend bei der Therapie entzündlicher Uterus- und Adnexerkrankungen ist eine ausreichend lange Behandlung mit einer Kombination geeigneter Antibiotika; daneben sind in manchen Fällen operative Verfahren indiziert. Häufige Komplikationen des PID sind tubare Infertilität, Extrauteringravidität und chronische Unterbauchschmerzen.
