With two billion users, YouTube has become a widely available resource for health information. However, it has been revealed to be an unreliable health education resource, especially in regards to content quality.
1 YouTube and the National Academy of Medicine (NAM) have collaborated to accredit publishers of high-quality medical information to identify them as trustworthy with the goal of reducing the spread of misinformation.
