The authors present a rare hardware-related complication with zero-profile anchored cages in a 52-year-old male patient who had received a two-level ACDF surgery [1]. They report the first case of a vertebral body fracture between the blades of zero-profile anchored cages after ACDFs in adjacent levels. They also performed a comprehensive systematic literature review regarding safety, complications as well as radiological and clinical outcomes of zero-profile anchored cages. …
