The Editor-in-Chief wishes to issue an expression of concern for this article [1] following an investigation by Ghent University. The investigation, conducted by the university’s committee for scientific integrity, concluded that although there was no direct evidence of data fabrication, the research and the findings as described in this article cannot be verified. The findings of the committee have been confirmed by the Flemish Committee for Scientific Integrity, a body of the Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Science and the Arts. Author Roeland J.G.
