32. Faltentherapie mit Botulinumtoxin

Zusammenfassung

Effektive Behandlung mimischer Falten mit einem ausgezeichneten Wirkungs- und Nebenwirkungsprofil. Für einen Zeitraum von ca. 3–6 Monaten kommt es zu einer reversiblen Lähmung der behandelten mimischen Muskulatur, die eine Glättung von Hautfalten zur Folge hat. Die Hauptindikationen in der ästhetischen Dermatologie sind die Behandlung von Glabellafalten, sowie im Off-Label-Use die querverlaufenden Stirnfalten, die periorbitalen Lachfalten und die Behandlung des mittleren und unteren Gesichtsdrittels und der Halsregion. Das Indikationsspektrum von Botulinumtoxin wird auch in der ästhetischen Medizin ständig erweitert. Lehrbuchartig wird die Anwendung von BTX A dem Einsteiger nahegebracht. Wissenschaftliche Hintergründe und Wirkmechanismen werden einfach und umfassend erklärt. Eigenschaften aktueller Botulinum-Präparate werden vorgestellt.
