Familienplanung mit Zyklus-Apps – ein Update

Zusammenfassung

Zyklus-Apps „tracken“ den weiblichen Zyklus, es werden verschiedene Zyklusparameter aufgezeichnet und das fertile Fenster angezeigt. Die Apps werden als Menstruationskalender, aber auch für Verhütung und bei Kinderwunsch genutzt. Sie unterscheiden sich entsprechend ihrer wissenschaftlichen Qualität. 1. Prognose-Apps sagen das fertile Fenster aus Daten früherer Zyklen vorher und sind zu ungenau. 2. Manchen NFP-Apps liegen evidenzbasierte Methoden der natürlichen Familienplanung (NFP) zugrunde, die das fertile Fenster im aktuellen Zyklus bestimmen (siehe Empfehlungen der Sektion Natürliche Fertilität der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Gynäkologische Endokrinologie und Fortpflanzungsmedizin). Dies setzt eine Symptombeobachtung durch die Anwenderin voraus. 3. Apps assoziiert mit neuen Messparametern sind mit Messsystemen für Hormone oder andere Parameter (z. B. CO₂-Gehalt in Atemluft, nächtliche Pulsrate) verbunden. Die aktuellen Entwicklungen sind überwiegend als experimentell zu bewerten.
