There have been several methods reported of the use of a posterior approach for proximal tibial fractures [
1-
10]. However, when there is a soft tissue defect of the anterior knee, none of the traditional approaches provide adequate skin bridge, resulting in problems of skin circulation. The posteromedian approach, on the other hand, resolved the problem of skin bridge and provided us with adequate coverage of the knee joint. In this paper, we present a case report of that we used a medial gastrocnemius muscle flap for an anterior soft tissue defect so that we could fix the posteromedial and posterolateral aspects of the proximal tibia. …
