Zusammenfassung

Diabetiker erkranken signifikant häufiger an bakteriellen Infektionen als Nichtdiabetiker. Sie sind insbesondere öfter von Osteomyelitis, Pyelonephritis, Zystitis, Pneumonien, Weichteil- und Hautinfektionen und Peritonitis betroffen. Woran das liegen könnte, dazu liefert der folgende Beitrag Informationen, auch wenn die Evidenzlage immer noch sehr unzureichend ist.
