Frauen mit nur einem Eierstock: Verfügen sie über ein niedrigeres reproduktives Potenzial?

Zusammenfassung

Tuboovarialabszesse, Endometriose und Extrauteringraviditäten sind einige der Ursachen, die zu einer unilateralen Adnexektomie führen können. Unilateral adnexektomierte Frauen stellen eine Herausforderung für eine IVF-Behandlung dar. Es ist bereits mehrfach untersucht worden, inwiefern das reproduktive Potenzial dieser Frauen in einer IVF-Behandlung gegenüber der von Frauen mit zwei Ovarien eingeschränkt ist. Meist wurden nur konventionelle IVF-Zyklen eingeschlossen, während in nur sehr wenigen Studien ICSI-Zyklen von Frauen mit nur einem Ovar enthalten sind. Die berichteten Ergebnisse sind teilweise widersprüchlich. Daher werden in dieser Übersichtsarbeit verschiedene Aspekte der assistierten Reproduktion bei Frauen mit nur einem Ovar eingehend beleuchtet. Im Mittelpunkt stehen insbesondere die hormonelle Stimulation, die Implantationsraten und die Schwangerschaftsraten sowie der Einfluss der Lokalisation des verbleidenden Ovars.
