Zusammenfassung

Einer Sterilitätstherapie wird im Mutterpass der Rang eines relevanten Schwangerschaftsrisikos eingeräumt, der die gesamte Schwangerschaft schließlich zur Risikoschwangerschaft machen kann. In Deutschland werden etwa 3 % aller Kinder nach Maßnahmen der assistierten Reproduktion geboren; nach Angaben des Deutschen IVF-Registers wurden von 1997 bis 2011 172.993 Kinder nach assistierter Reproduktion (ART) geboren, darunter etwa 35 % Mehrlinge; damit sind die Maßnahmen der ART für etwa 20 % der Mehrlingsgeburten in Deutschland verantwortlich (DIR 2012). Zählt man Schwangerschaften hinzu, die nach alleiniger hormoneller Sterilitätstherapie oder nach Inseminationsbehandlungen entstanden sind, müssen wir bei fast jeder zehnten Schwangerschaft von einer potenziellen Risikoschwangerschaft ausgehen, da eine Sterilitätsbehandlung vorausgegangen ist.
