Zusammenfassung

Das Bewusstsein für die geschlechtersensible Betrachtung von Frauen und Männern mit onkologischen Erkrankungen beginnt bereits in der Notaufnahme und endet nicht mit der Krankenhausentlassung. Gerade bei den oft zur ärztlichen Therapie wiederkehrenden Patienten kann eine geschlechtersensible Betreuung und Behandlung zwischen den Krankenhausaufenthalten zu einer verbesserten Versorgung beider Geschlechter beitragen. Prospektive Studien wären wünschenswert, um diesen Versorgungsansatz zu beweisen und in die Leitlinien und Handlungsanweisungen einfließen zu lassen.
