A new special interest area (formally as a subspecialty) of “Geriatric Radiology” is being proposed as a dedicated field of diagnostic imaging, focusing on elderly and frail adult patients. Older individuals often experience normal aging, though it can be combined with multiple health issues, resulting in increased diagnostic imaging use, both in emergency and outpatient settings.
