Altersphysiologische Veränderungen unterschiedlicher Gewebe - wie Haut, Knochen, Bänder, Fettgewebe und Muskulatur - führen zu den typischen Alterungserscheinungen im Gesicht. Diese Veränderungen sind vielfältig, bei jedem Menschen individuell ausgeprägt und oftmals begleitet vom Wunsch einer verjüngenden Ästhetikbehandlung. Die sichere und effektive Durchführung von Verjüngungstherapien kann jedoch nur bei einem guten Verständnis der lokalen Veränderungen in den jeweiligen Gesichtsregionen sowie deren Wechselwirkungen untereinander gewährleistet werden.
