Zusammenfassung

Die Winkelblockglaukome sind eine seltene Form des Glaukoms. Charakteristisch sind eine Enge oder ein Verschluss des Kammerwinkels und konsekutiv eine Behinderung des Kammerwasserabflusses sowie eine daraus resultierende Augendruckerhöhung. Als Symptome können starke Augen- und/oder Kopfschmerzen, Verschwommensehen, eine mittelweite und lichtstarre Pupille, ein gerötetes Auge und Übelkeit auftreten. Therapiemöglichkeiten umfassen drucksenkende lokale und systemische Medikamente sowie operative Eingriffe, insbesondere die Kataraktoperation und die Laseriridotomie. An topischen Medikamenten kommen neben Parasympathomimetika (Pilocarpin) prinzipiell alle drucksenkenden Substanzklassen zum Einsatz (Beta-Rezeptorantagonisten, Carboanhydrasehemmer, α2-selektive adrenerge Antagonisten und Prostaglandine und Prostaglandinanaloga). Systemisch werden Carboanhydrasehemmer und Osmotika (z. B. Mannitol) angewendet.
