Guidelines in review: Comparison between AHA/ACC and ESC guidelines for the management of patients with ventricular arrhythmias and the prevention of sudden cardiac death

In this Guidelines in Review,1‐6 we review side-by-side the recommendations provided by the 2015 ESC Guidelines for the management of ventricular arrhythmias and prevention of sudden cardiac death 7 and the ACC/AHA/ESC 2006 Guidelines for Management of Patients With Ventricular Arrhythmias and the Prevention of Sudden Cardiac Death,8 and further recommendations regarding management of ventricular arrhythmias (VA) and sudden cardiac death (SCD) provided in subsequent ACC/AHA guidelines for management of patients with heart failure,9,10 cardiac implantable electronic devices,11,12 and congenital heart disease.13
