Zusammenfassung

Eine 59-jährige Patientin litt an Fieber und Oberbauchschmerzen. In der Computertomographie (CT) kam eine Leberraumforderung zur Darstellung. Anhand bildgebender Verfahren (CT, Magnetresonanztomographie, kontrastmittelverstärkter Ultraschall) war keine einheitliche Diagnosestellung möglich. Der Leberrundherd wurde punktiert. Histologisch zeigte sich das Bild einer fibrosierenden Entzündung. Es wurde die Diagnose eines inflammatorischen Pseudotumors (IPT) gestellt. Trotz Steroid- und Antibiotikatherapie kam es zur weiteren und für IPT untypischen Größenzunahme, sodass die chirurgische Resektion notwendig wurde. Bei Fieber unklarer Genese sollte das Vorliegen eines IPT in Erwägung gezogen werden.
