Zusammenfassung

Kathetergestützte Verfahren zur Behandlung von Herzklappenerkrankungen haben sich in den letzten Jahren rasant entwickelt. Der prognostische Nutzen einer kathetergestützten Aortenklappenimplantation bei hohem sowie intermediärem operativen Risiko wurde bereits in randomisierten Studien belegt. Aktuell ist ein Trend zur Behandlung von Patienten mit niedrigem Risiko zu verzeichnen. Zudem erleben interventionelle Verfahren zur Behandlung der Mitralklappe eine dynamische Entwicklung.
