Pierre Delmas has been a dominant figure for decades in clinical research in osteoporosis, with major contributions also in arthritis and the skeletal complications of cancer. He has pursued this work with a depth of analysis and intuition that owes much to his intellectual drive and clinical intuition, but much also to his continuing commitment to understanding the fundamentals of bone biology.
