More than 70 years ago, Captain Fong reported a case of iliac “horns” (Figs. 1, 2)—bilateral osseous projections arising from the central, posterior surface of the iliac wings resembling the hard bony outgrowths on the head of many hoofed animals (Fig. 3) [1]. In humans, these laterally projecting bony structures arise from the gluteus medius muscle attachment site [2].
