Die Radiofrequenz-Denervation ist eine Therapiemöglichkeit bei Schmerzen ausgehend vom Iliosakralgelenk. Unterschieden wird zwischen Schmerzen aus dem Gelenk selbst sowie Schmerzen des dorsalen Bandapparates. Zur Diagnosesicherung kommen sowohl intraartikuläre Injektionen als auch Lateral Branch Blocks zum Einsatz. Der variable und komplexe Verlauf der Lateral Branches in einem Netzwerk aus Nerven macht die Radiofrequenz-Denervation technisch jedoch anspruchsvoll. In diesem Artikel soll die aktuelle Evidenz unter Berücksichtigung der AWMF-S3-Leitline zusammengefasst werden.
