Zusammenfassung

Bei der Rheumatoiden Arthritis handelt es sich um eine chronische Gelenkentzündung mit destruierendem Charakter. Sie kann bereits im Jugendalter beginnen, aber auch im Senium sind Neuerkrankungen möglich. Es handelt sich um eine Autoimmunerkrankung, die nicht nur Gelenke, sondern auch innere Organe betreffen kann. Eine frühe Diagnose und eine rechtzeitige Therapie können die Prognose deutlich verbessern.
