The editorial titled “Going viral: why eliminating the burden of hepatitis C requires enhanced cooperation between specialists and primary care providers” by Fox [1] accurately emphasized the importance of cooperative strategies, which is timely. It is equally applicable to many developing countries including India that suffer the worst from the deadly virus. Although the exact number of people suffering from hepatitis C infection in India is not clearly known, the WHO collaborating center based at Delhi has estimated about 6–12 million cases [2]. …
