Die septische Arthritis des nativen Gelenks ist ein akuter medizinischer Notfall und geht mit einer hohen Mortalität und Morbidität einher. Eine rasche Diagnosestellung mit anschließender chirurgischer Entlastung des Gelenkes und einer antibiotischen Therapie stellen die Grundlagen der Behandlung dar. Für das Outcome ist es entscheidend, eine Verzögerung zwischen Symptombeginn und Einleitung einer adäquaten Therapie zu vermeiden. Dieser Beitrag fasst aktuelle Erkenntnisse und neueste Empfehlungen zur Diagnostik und Therapie von akuten Gelenkinfektionen zusammen. …
