Zusammenfassung

In diesem Kapitel werden die klassischen intensivneurologischen Techniken, aber auch krankheitsspezifische Aspekte erläutert. Schwerpunkte sind hier die Lysetherapie – systemisch wie endovaskulär – und neue katheterbasierte Techniken. Weiterer Schwerpunkt ist die Therapie schwerer bis schwerster Schlaganfälle mit Hypothermie und neurochirurgischen Techniken wie der dekompressiven Kraniektomie. Gerade seltenere Ursachen von Schlaganfällen finden sich häufiger bei schwer betroffenen Patienten, dem trägt ein eigenes Unterkapitel Rechnung.
