Zusammenfassung

Die Pharmakologie bei der kardiopulmonalen Reanimation (CPR) ist mehr als 100 Jahre alt. Im Tierversuch wurde der Saft aus ausgepressten Nebennieren eines Kaninchens einem anderen Kaninchen injiziert, wodurch eine Steigerung des systolischen Blutdrucks erreicht wurde [18]. Über immunologische Nebenwirkungen wurde allerdings nicht berichtet. Damit war der Anfang einer Therapie mit Katecholaminen im Schock gemacht; es ist allerdings ein Weg, der mit vielen Enttäuschungen gepflastert sein sollte. In einem CPR-Modell an 15 kg schweren Hunden wurde 1 mg Adrenalin in den 1950er Jahren intravenös injiziert, was zu einem Anstieg des systolischen Blutdrucks führte. Interessanterweise wird diese 1-mg-Dosis auch heute noch empfohlen und klinisch verwendet, obwohl die Dosis eigentlich bei einem 70 kg schweren Erwachsenen etwa 5-mal zu gering wäre.
