This book gives an idea about pelvic floor muscle training in its wider context as it is applied to different disorders related to pelvic floor dysfunction. It starts with a philosophical vision of the role of pelvic floor physical therapy and a practical account of evidence-based medicine that explains how it is used to assess available literature in the rest of the book. This is followed by applied anatomy of the pelvic floor, giving special attention to continence mechanism and how this is disturbed in patients with incontinence and helped with physical therapy.
