Zusammenfassung

Hintergrund

In 2014 wurden in Deutschland 3500 Larynxkarzinome neu diagnostiziert.

Material und Methoden

Eine selektive Literaturrecherche in der Datenbank PubMed zu Risikofaktoren, Symptomen, Diagnostik, Therapie und Nachsorge des Larynxkarzinoms wurde durchgeführt.

Ergebnisse

Hauptrisikofaktoren für die Entwicklung eines Larynxkarzinoms sind Rauchen und Alkoholkonsum. Mit der Abnahme des Nikotinkonsums nimmt die Inzidenz des Larynxkarzinoms insbesondere bei Männern ab. Operative Therapiemodalitäten beim Larynxkarzinom sind die transorale Chirurgie, die offene Larynxteilresektion und die Laryngektomie. Nichtoperative kurative Behandlungskonzepte umfassen die alleinige Radiotherapie bei frühen Larynxkarzinomen sowie die kombinierte Radiochemotherapie mit Cisplatin bei fortgeschrittenen Larynxkarzinomen.

Schlussfolgerung

Trotz Innovationen in Diagnostik und Therapie hat sich die Prognose der Patienten in den letzten Jahrzehnten nicht relevant verbessert, weswegen die Therapie von Larynxkarzinomen unverändert eine interdisziplinäre Herausforderung bleibt.

Umfrage: Topika mit Dexpanthenol bei Radiodermatitis empfohlen

In der topischen Prävention der akuten Radiodermatitis werden Zubereitungen mit Dexpanthenol oder Harnstoff von deutschsprachigen Fachkreisen in der Radioonkologie am häufigsten empfohlen und als am wirksamsten bewertet. Bei der Behandlung der strahlenbedingten Hautschäden liegen Topika mit Dexpanthenol oder Kortikosteroide vorn [1].

Handekzem: Adhärenz bei topischer Therapie nicht zufriedenstellend

Einer klinischen Studie zufolge wendet nur etwa die Hälfte der Ekzem-Patient:innen ihre topische Therapie mit Kortikosteroiden wie verordnet an. Darüber hinaus nahm die Adhärenz im Zeitverlauf weiter ab. Bei einer gleichzeitig applizierten barrierestabilisierenden Basiscreme blieb die Anwendungsfrequenz dagegen über die Zeit stabil [1].
